This eventually led to the founding of the Finnish Sports Museum Foundation in the 1930s. Over the course of a hundred years, the Foundation\u2019s collections have grown into a unique and invaluable cross-section of Finnish society through the lens of sports and physical activity across different eras. Our library is one of the largest sport libraries in the world, containing 30,000 books and thousands of volumes of magazines. The archives contain more than 2,000 shelf metres of documents from sports organisations, clubs and private individuals.
